The RMS Titanic is about to set sail on its maiden voyage, and somewhere on that great ship, a moment needs to be preserved. A small act of kindness that could be forgotten forever.

Chapter 1
The Glowing Compass
The compass started glowing at exactly 3:47 in the afternoon. Teddy noticed it first. She always did. Her nose twitched, her ears perked up, and she padded over to where the old brass compass sat on its velvet cushion. "Copper," she whispered. "It's time." Copper stretched from his spot by the window, his golden fur catching the last rays of afternoon sun. He'd been dreaming about cheese — medieval cheese, specifically, which was surprisingly delicious — but the glow from the compass meant only one thing. Adventure was calling.
